Careers Day - posted 4th Nov

Careers Day was a fantastic day which allowed children to delve into the wider world of work! We started the day off with a brilliant assembly led by an influential karate champion, who told them all about his career journey. We also had a careers fair where we had several visitors with a variety of different jobs to open their minds to a range of unique professions. The children got the opportunity to not only ask questions to the visitors but were able to try on a firefighter's uniform and even look at some real teeth! It was a brilliant day had by all and the children are now inspired for their future careers!

Year 5 Camping - posted 13th Sep

Thirty year 5 children took part in an overnight camping event on the school field. On arrival at the camp, the children had to help set up camp which involved pitching tents and organising their bedding. Then they had to prepare their evening meal which was homemade pizzas with a choice of different toppings including pineapple and cheese. After dinner, it was time for more activities and everyone had a go at archery. The talent show was very popular with all the children performing either a joke, a dance or singing. At bedtime, the children took part on a night walk where they learnt all about constellations. There was lots of excitement when it was time to go to sleep in the tents but everyone fell asleep quickly and had a good night’s sleep.
