Remote Learning Provision - MPS

Each class will have a live registration session twice a day. We encourage all children to attend these so they can ‘see’ their teachers and friends as well as hear key messages.

The timings are:
8:50- Year 6 and Year 5
9:00- Year 4 and Year 3
9:10- Year 2 and Year 1
9:20- Year R

Afternoon register and story
2:30- Year R
2:40- Year 1 and Year 2
2:50- Year 4 and Year 3
3:00- Year 6 and Year 5

Daily teaching and learning will be uploaded which children should access through their Google account. This work should be returned online to the class teacher so they can give feedback and support.
Please use this to communicate with your child’s class teacher. We will contact children frequently and offer further support as necessary.

During this national lockdown, we have introduced live registration sessions and incorporated live learning sessions as part of your child’s daily education. These sessions may take place in groups or on a 1:1 basis. An invite via google classroom or a telephone call will be made prior to the session starting.

As we are a primary school, there is a basic expectation that there will be adult supervision when these sessions take place. Staff and pupils alike are expected to behave online how they would in a physical classroom. These sessions have proven useful and have encouraged a level of routine to children’s online learning.

Every child at Maidenhall Primary School is expected to participate in these sessions. Should there be any concerns or queries around this method of virtual learning then please contact the school office as soon as you are able to.

If you have any other questions or need further support please contact the main school office:

The main source of communication between the teacher and home when remote education is taking place is via Google Classroom and the Weduc APP. Please ensure that you can access your child's Google account and let their teacher know if you are unable to access it. We have put together video guides to help you. Click HERE for videos on Weduc.
